Helen S. Aloian, 92, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in St. Catharines, Ontario she was the daughter of Bedros and Siranooh (Asadoorian) Merakian.

Helen married her beloved husband, Mardig "Marty" Aloian (NFPD Detective, Ret.) at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on August 19, 1950. Mr. Aloian predeceased her on September 26, 2006 after 56 loving years together.

Helen was a member of St. Hagop Church and took part in many of the church's organizations. She enjoyed cooking and baking, particularly her Armenian recipes. Above all, Helen centered her life around her children and grandchildren who will miss her dearly with all their hearts.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Sandra (William, who was like another son to her) Dompkowski and was predeceased by her son, Richard (Debbie) Aloian, Ret. Niagara County Sheriff Deputy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tiffany Dompkowski (Federal Officer), Dr. Alanna Dompkowski, Corrina Dompkowski, Peter Aloian, Joey Aloian and Theresa Aloian; and her sister, Lucy Krikorian. She was predeceased by her siblings Harry (Margaret) Merakian and George Merakian.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 11 from 12 – 4 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M.
