Helen B. Baker, 92, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born in Ivanhoe, VA, she was the daughter of Cecil (Spears) Thompson.

Helen was raised in Virginia where she attended local schools. She married her beloved husband, Jack F. Baker in West Virginia and moved to Niagara Falls in 1955.

Helen was employed by the Ransomville School District as a bus driver for many years prior to her retirement. She also worked as a real estate agent locally.

Helen was a member of the Lewiston Lark Singing Group, the Lewiston Senior Center, and volunteered at Meals on Wheels. She also loved door dashing with her daughter, Lisa.

Helen enjoyed going to the casino, but above all, cherished the time she spent with her family, especially during the holidays, birthday celebrations or any other day her family would "drop in."

Helen is survived by her children, Cheryl Johnson, Ann Baker, Jack (Karola) Carr, Sue (Mike) Knotts and Lisa (Leo) Carson; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ella), Robert, Joe, Elisha (Ric), Daniel, Sarah (Adrian), Michael, Mark, Casey and Anne; and her great-grandchildren, Helayna, Noah, Quinn, Harlow, Johnny and Ana. In addition to her husband, Jack and mother, Cecil, she was sadly predeceased by her grandson, Michael Johnson and her step father, Reeford Thompson.

Visitation will be Friday, November 10 from 5 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
