Helen A. Baldassaro, 96, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Wilno, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Tekla Fabriszewska.

Helen moved to Germany in 1942, before moving to Montreal, Ottawa and later Niagara Falls, ON, before coming to Niagara Falls, NY in 1952.  On January 28, 1951, she married Peter J. Baldassaro at Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mr. Baldassaro predeceased her on July 10, 1995, after 44 years of marriage. Helen was employed as a Packer with Nabisco Shredded Wheat in Niagara Falls, NY for 39 years until her retirement in the late 1980's.  She enjoyed cooking, being a homemaker, and spending time shopping at the mall with her friends.  Helen will be remembered most for her hardworking demeanor, her pleasant personality which was always full of sunshine, and her willingness to always lend a listening ear.

Helen is survived by her sons, Frank (Katie) Baldassaro and Dean (Donna) Baldassaro; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Brian) Batesky and Rachel (Mark) Hajnos; her great-grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Violet and Hazel, as well as her special Goddaughter, Debbie Metro-Langley.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 3 – 5:30 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin at 5:30 PM.  Private Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.
