Helen J. (Yacoots) Morganti, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday August 8, 2011 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Scarlata) Yacoots.

Helen was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools including St. Joseph's Grammar School and Niagara Falls High School. Following school, Helen worked at the Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls until her marriage to James C. Morganti on June 13, 1941 in St. Joseph's Church. Mr. Morganti predeceased her on March 24, 1987. Helen was devoted to her faith and Church Holy Family Parish in Niagara Falls. She took great pride in being a homemaker and was well- known for her sauce and apple pies. In her leisure time, she also enjoyed trips to the casino.

Mrs. Morganti is survived by her two children, Anne S. Bleasdale of Niagara Falls, NY and James A. (Sharon) Morganti of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Angela (Joseph) Cordova , Christa (Jason) Swanger both of Las Vegas, NV, Brian (Dana) Bleasdale of Pittsburgh, PA; three great-grandchildren Gage and Hunter Cordova, Leilani Swanger, her sisters-in-law, Mary (late Buster) Lomonto and Grace (late Robert) Ungaro both of Niagara Falls, NY as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Helen was also predeceased by her three sisters and one brother, Sadie (late John) George, Jessie (late Ernest) Romani, Teresa Yacoots, and Patrick (late Marie) Yacoots; her brothers-in-law Richard (late Caroline) Morganti, Joseph Morganti, and sister-in-law Clara (late Felix) Palermo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday August 11th at 11:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
