Obituary

Helen Panza, age 94, passed away peacefully at her residence in Canterbury Woods in Williamsville, NY. Born in Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Angeline (Orlando) Panza. As a young child, Helen moved with her family to Niagara Falls, NY, where she attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

Ambitious and creative, Helen moved to New York City to pursue a career in fashion design. Her drive and leadership later led her to American Steel Products in Farmingdale, NY, where she rose to become Vice President. She retired in 1996 after a long and successful career.

Following retirement, Helen moved to Florida, embracing the sunshine and an active lifestyle. In 2004, she returned to Western New York, settling on Grand Island to be closer to her family.

Helen was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing golf, participating in both tennis and golf clubs on Long Island and in Florida. She also loved playing bridge and found joy in crocheting and knitting, creating cherished blankets and keepsakes for her family. Above all, Helen cherished the time spent with her family whom she loved immensely.

She is survived by her brother, Ralph (late Marion) Panza, Ret. CWO-2, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, John (late Nancy) Panza and Frank (Fay) Panza.

Private funeral services will be held at St. Stephen’s Church in Grand Island, NY, by Helen’s family. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, Niagara Falls, NY. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
