Helen E. Thorington, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on March 19, 2023 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Borowski) Kwiatkowski.

Helen was a graduate of the former Girls Vocational High School in Buffalo, NY.  She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Cannon Design on Grand Island, NY for over 20 years until her retirement in 2000.  Helen enjoyed gardening, crafting and sewing, and made special pillows for the cancer wing at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and the John Duke Center.  She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her children, Jacqueline LaVigne, Brenda White, and Sheila (Michael) Finnegan; her grandchildren, Stephanie White, Christopher White, Stephen (Larissa Caligiuri) LaVigne, and Jason Finnegan; her great-grandchildren, Emma and Jackson; her brother, and Victor (Annette) Kwiatkowski, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Dolores (late Herbert 'Herb') Williams.

Helen's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.  Arrangements by M.J.
