Henry "Hank" Corsaro, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday March 27, 2010 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was the son of the late Dominic and Roxie (Garritano) Corsaro. Hank was four years old when his mother, Roxie, passed away. His father later remarried, and Hank was raised by Josephine Corsaro-West, whom he considered his mother.
Hank was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. Mr. Corsaro served in the United States Army as a Corporal Fourth Grade from 1946 until his honorable discharge in 1950. He then served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard of New York State and the reserve of the United States Air Force from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1953. On April 28, 1951 he married Marion "Mary" (Ciraolo) Corsaro at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Henry worked as a millwright at the former Hooker/Occidental Chemical Corporation in Niagara Falls, NY and retired in 1983. Known for his keen sense of humor, Hank was also an avid outdoorsman, and in his younger years enjoyed fishing and hunting with his beagles.
In addition to his wife of fifty-eight years, Mr. Corsaro is survived by his daughter Roxanne Corsaro of Lewiston, NY, his sister Theresa (Louis) Danni of Niagara Falls, NY, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Hank was predeceased by his brother George (late Jennie) Corsaro.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Wednesday March 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, 3806 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S. officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J.
