Ida (Scarpelli) Faiola, 92, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025. Born in Spezzano, Cosenza, Italy, she was the beloved daughter of the late Giovanni 'John' and Rosa (Granata) Scarpelli.

Ida was raised and educated in Italy. At the age of 14, she moved to Niagara Falls, NY, with her brother, Rudolph, and her mother, Rosa to join her father who was already in the U.S. She met the love of her life, Leo 'Leone' Faiola, whom she later married on September 21, 1957, at St. Joseph's Church. She was an excellent cook, talented seamstress and loved tending to her garden. Above all, Ida centered her life around her family who will miss her dearly.

Ida was sadly predeceased by her husband, Leo in 2020 and their son, Vincent in 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Kozar and her son-in-law, Doug Kozar; her three grandsons—Matthew Kozar and his wife, Natalie (Ambrusko) Kozar, Mark Kozar, and John Kozar; her sister-in-law, Irene (late Rudolph) Scarpelli; her four nieces—Laura (Steve) Monahan, Duana (John) Risio, Flora (late Anthony) Colangelo and Josephine (Leonard) ModicaAmore; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately by her family with entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
