Immecolate (Commisso) Bonanno, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Siderno, Marina Calabria, Italy she was the daughter of the late Cosimo and Maria Rosa (Augustino) Commisso.

Immecolate was educated in Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 with her husband and four children, and settled in Niagara Falls where she has resided until the present time. She worked very hard as a devoted homemaker and was always cooking and baking Italian foods for her family and friends. For twenty five years, Immecolate also helped her son Gino at Gino's Imported Foods in Buffalo. Her greatest joy was babysitting her loving grandchildren.

Mrs. Bonanno was predeceased by her husband Paolo Rocco Bonanno on July 10, 2011. She is survived by her four children, Dominic (Carole) Bonanno of East Amherst, NY; Cosimo (Jean) Bonanno of Rochester, NY; Maria (Antonio) Figliomeni and Gino Bonanno both of Niagara Falls, NY; eleven grandchildren Paul (Mona) Bonanno, Mark Bonanno, James (Heather) Bonanno, John (Katie) Bonanno, Margaret (John) Bonanno-Paa, Carlo (Jennifer) Figliomeni, Anna-Maria (Kevin) Ladd, Angela (Nicholas) Ruffolo, Anthony Figliomeni, Maria (Richard) Bonanno-Lehmann and Lisa (John) Bonanno-Young; nine great- grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony, Julia Rose and Elena Bonanno; Isabella and Ava Figliomeni, Cole and Gina Lehmann and Matthew Ladd; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late, Angela (late Paolo) Bonanno, Maria (late Francesco) Loiero, Girolamo (Amelia of Canada) Commisso, Frank (late Rose) Commisso, Michele (late Angela) Commisso and sister-in-law of the late Rose (late Chester) Santarosa.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday February 22nd at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
