Irene Pearl Reilly, 79, of the Town of Niagara died on Wednesday December 24, 2008 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Allen) Reagan.
Irene was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from the former St. Mary's High School. For several years prior to her marriage she worked at E.I. DuPont in Niagara Falls and was one of their first operators on their original computer systems. On December 31, 1955 she married Edward P. Reilly at St. John De LaSalle Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Irene was a longtime member of St. Vincent de Paul parish at St. Leo's Church and an active committed supporter of the Pro Life Right to Life movement. She enjoyed collecting recipes, gardening and camping and most of all she was devoted to raising her children.
In addition to her husband of fifty two years, Mrs. Reilly is survived by eight children Edward P. (Pamela) Reilly, Jr. of Hamburg, NY; Michael F. (Amali) Reilly of Emporia, KS; Patrick G. (Rebecca) Reilly of Youngstown, NY; Shawn T. Reilly of Port St. Lucie, FL; Marybeth G. (Paul) Sansano, Brian G. Reilly both of Niagara Falls, NY; Roseanne G. Reilly of Longmont, CO and Colleen M. Reilly of Orchard Park, NY; sixteen grandchildren Edward III, Joseph, Matthew and Laura Reilly, Erin, Stephen and Benjamin Reilly, Patrick, Kristen, Nicholas, Hannah, David and Sean Reilly, Caitlin Reilly, Kimberly and Zachary Sansano, one brother John (Diane) Reagan of Oakdale, CT; three sisters Patricia (Thomas) Mazzatosta of Wilkes Barre, PA; Christina (late Edward) Rucinski and Katherine 'Kasey' Lech both of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister Geraldine (late William) Kydd.
Friends may call on Sunday and Monday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will be held on Tuesday December 30th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Samuel Venne officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Summit Life Outreach Center, 6929 Williams Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
