Isaac Samuel Hayden, 78, of Kingston, Jamaica, died on Sunday May 23, 2010 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in St. Ann, Jamaica he was the son of the late Theophilus and Anita (Thomas) Hayden.
Elder as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was a lifelong resident of Jamaica. He was employed as a landscaper at Mico University in Kingston, Jamaica for fifty six years and in 2001 was awarded a Citation in recognition of his contributions and faithful service to the University. In his leisure time, Elder enjoyed farming and gardening. Above all Isaac enjoyed life and spending time with his family.
Mr. Hayden is survived by his wife Vivienne F. (Cooper) Hayden, three children Annemarie (Bobby) Hayden Nembhard of Niagara Falls, NY; Winston Hayden of Canada and Delroy Hayden of Kingston, Jamaica; three grandchildren, Ricardo, Camille and Sasha, his step-children, Margaret Stephens of Niagara Falls, NY; Barrington, Rolando, Michael, Keisha, Ricardo and Kadia, several step-grandchildren, his nieces and nephews, Dare, Charmaine, Pauline, Iceland, Shirley, Pauline, Winston, Earl and George. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be on Saturday June 5th from 9 – 9:30 a.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19TH STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
