Jack E. House, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 25, 2024 at Buffalo Veterans' Administration Hospital.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Elry P. and Gladys (Cole) House.

Jack was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1952.  On October 13, 1962, he married Marian T. (Sauvageau) House at Holy Trinity Church. Jack was employed for 11 years as a Production Worker at Great Lakes Carbon.  Later, he became a salesman distributor for Dan-Dee Potato Chips and Snack Foods, where he worked for 8 years and was affectionately known as the "Dan-Dee Man".  When Jack began his career as a salesman and distributor, he was the 11th ranked salesman in the company, and retired as the 2nd ranked salesman, a feat he was extremely proud of.

Jack was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and volunteered over 14,000 hours at the Buffalo Veterans' Administration Hospital.  Jack and his wife also volunteered their time driving bus to help handicapped children participate in bowling.  Jack loved all sports, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills and enjoyed attending Niagara University Men's and Women's basketball games.  In his younger years, he played basketball and fast pitch softball with his friends.  Jack liked listening to music and attending tribute band concerts at the Riviera Theatre. He will be remembered for his sociable nature and his talks with his friends.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 61 years, Jack is survived by his children, Laurie A. House and Kevin P. House; his grandchildren, Jenna House and Jack House, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.  He was predeceased by his step-brother, Francis House.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Jack's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.  Everyone please assemble at church.
