Jacquelene M. (Pharo) Pacifico, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility, Lewiston, NY after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Burness (Cornish) Pharo, Sr.
Jackie as she was known by her family and friends lived most of her life in Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. She worked in retail at various stores in the city.
Jackie was the oldest and longtime parishioner of the Church of the Holy Saviour in Niagara Falls, as well as a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA). She enjoyed playing Bingo, Knitting, crocheting and politics. She was an avid caller on the "View Point" radio talk show where she enjoyed debating about politics and local issues. Most of all, her life surrounded around her son, John Pacifico whom predeceased her on March 9, 2007.
Jackie is survived by a brother, Leonard (Michelle) Pharo, Jr; nephew, B.J. Beauchamp; sister-in-law, Nora Pharo and dear friends Dennis (Mary) Shira and Jaqueline Gabrielli. In addition to her parents and son, Jackie was predeceased by a brother, Donald Pharo.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 11th from 5 – 7 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NAIGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Vincent Mattoni officiating. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY at the convenience of the family. Jackie's family and friends wish to extend a special thank you to the Nurses, aids and staff at Our Lady of Peace Nursing facility for their special care given to Jackie while under their care.
