James L. Craig, 86, of the Town of Niagara, NY died on Tuesday February 16, 2010 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Paisley, Scotland he was the son of the late Thomas and Marian (Shaw) Craig.
Jim attended school in Scotland and in 1950 he immigrated to the United States. He was employed as a millwright at the Carborundum Company and retired in 1981 after thirty one years of service. Jim was a member of the Niagara Frontier Country Club in Youngstown, NY.
Jim is survived by his wife Clotilde "Tillie" (Garcia) Craig, one sister Agnes (late Jimmy) Burns of Paisley, Scotland, one sister-in-law Elpidia (late Sam) Carlino of Niagara Falls, NY; his special nieces Sandy Signore and Nancy Carlino both of Niagara Falls, NY; niece and nephew Melanie Pusch of Attica, NY and Edward Garcia of Grand Island, NY, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday February 18th from 10 – 11 a.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jean E. Edmister officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
