Dr. James A. Dunlop, a respected physician and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024, at the age of 81. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Alex and Jane Ann (Gourlay) Dunlop, who predeceased him in 1990.

James lived a life marked by dedication, intelligence, and kindness. Jim pursued his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, graduating in 1965, before earning his medical degree from the University of Buffalo in 1969. James was passionate about running, history, trivia, and cars. He was known for his sharp intellect, his kindness, and above all, his pride in his family. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of compassion and service will live on.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann C. Dunlop, and his two sons, James (Cathy) Dunlop, Jr. and Joseph (Kimberlee) Dunlop. Jim cherished his family and was a proud grandfather to Erin, Ryan, Anna, Olivia, Alex, and Jackson, and great grandfather to Griffin. He is also survived by his sister, Sheila (Dr. Charles) Rader, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  James' Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 16 at 10 AM Holy Family Parish at Mt.
