James J. Ross, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. James was the son of the late Anthony and Concetta (Trunzo) Rossi and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

On November 8, 1952 he married Elizabeth (Pasquale)Ross in St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. They resided in Niagara Falls until moving with their family to Ohio in 1965. While living in Ohio he worked as a steelworker at the EW Bliss Company in Midland, PA and returned to Niagara Falls in 1993. He was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of Italy Power City Lodge in Niagara Falls, NY.

In addition to his wife of fifty-eight years he is survived by his four children Anthony (Loni) Ross, Marybeth (Bob) Hazelet both of East Liverpool, OH, James A. Ross of Niagara Falls, NY, and Carol (Ray) Galloway of Vista, CA; nine grandchildren Camille (Ron) DeLozier, Jace Galloway, Anthony (Amy) Ross, Adam Ross, Robbie Hazelet, Andrew Hazelet, Michael Hazelet, Brittany Ross, and Hayley Ross, and a sister-in-law Mary (late Gary) Lum of North Tonawanda, NY. He was predeceased by four brothers Phillip (Violet of Wilson, NY) Ross, Jack (Carrie of Las Vegas, NV) Ross, Armand (Mary of Pendleton, NY) Ross, and Ricardo (late Beverly) Ross.

There will be no prior visitation. Funeral service and entombment at Riverdale Cemetery in Lewiston, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
