James C. Lauzau Sr. 76, of Lewiston, NY passed away on June 8, 2018 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY the son of the late James Charles and Mary (Eberhardt) Lauzau.

James was a lifelong resident and attended local schools. On November 1, 1984, he married Diane M. Schmidt in Niagara Falls. He retired in 1996 as a laborer for Laborers Local No. 91. James was an avid hunter and sportsman.  He was a member of the 3F Club, Rocky Mountain Elks, the North American Hunting Assn. and an usher at St. Mary of The Cataract Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James C. Lauzau Jr., Elizabeth (late Michael) Kruise; James Charles Tareco; and was predeceased by a son Gerald "Jerry" M. Lauzau. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jerry M. Lauzau; Mathew, Jonny and Michaela Kruise, his siblings, Mary Anne (late Edward) Ghoughsian; Margaret (Michael) Powell; Ronald (Mary Lou) Lauzau and nieces and nephews.  Also predeceased by a brother Donald Lauzau and sister Caroline Lauzau.

The family will be present on Tuesday June 12 ^th from 2-5 pm at M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Rd, Niagara Falls, NY where a funeral service will be held at 5PM.
