James P. Leone Jr., 51, of Ransomville, NY, died on Wednesday February 9, 2011 surrounded by his family at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Lockhaven, PA he was the son of Jane (Soo) Leone of Ransomville, NY and James P. (MaryAnn) Leone, Sr. of Niagara Falls, NY.
James moved to Niagara Falls at an early age and attended local schools. For the past fifteen years, he was employed at LaHacienda Restaurant in Niagara Falls, NY and prior to that he worked at Pizza Oven also in Niagara Falls, NY. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino and spending time at home.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by four daughters Amanda (Brian) Monahan of Ransomville, NY; Lynn Bennett, Michele Pawlukovich and Shelby Leone all of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren Tyler DeRubeis, Cameryn Monahan, Brian Monahan, Jr. and Syncere Pugh, two sisters Peggy Leone of Niagara Falls, NY and Nancy (Melvin) Spillman of Ransomville, NY; one brother David (Linda) Leone of Niagara Falls, NY; two nephews Anthony Spillman and Sam Irish and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday February 12th from 2 – 3 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19TH STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
