James J. Rienzo, 73, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late James A. and Cecilia (Esche) Rienzo.

James was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. He later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. In 1965 he married Betty (Bevaqua) at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. James was employed as a chemical engineer at Occidental Chemical Co. until 1987. He then worked at DuPont Chemical Co. until retiring in 2005. James enjoyed collecting stamps and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. He also loved traveling with his wife to various places.
James was predeceased by his son James W. Rienzo. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers-in-law William (Shirley) Bevacqua and Arthur (Donna) Bevacqua and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother-in-law Robert (Anne of West Virginia) Bevacqua.

Visitation will be on Wednesday November 2nd from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where Prayers will be offered at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's R.C.
