Jane B. (Gmar) Cerrone, 89, of Youngstown, NY passed away Thursday May 26, 2011 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Affectionately known to her family and friends as "Babci", she was born in Niagara Falls, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Rozalie (Macuga) Gmar. On May 17, 1952 she married Armand V. Cerrone in St. Teresa Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Cerrone predeceased her on December 19, 2007 after fifty-five years of marriage.

Jane attended Holy Trinity School and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She obtained her Associates Degree from St. Joseph School of Nursing at St. Joseph Hospital in Rochester, NY. During the 1940's and 1950's she worked as a registered nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, and at Dr. Golden's office, both in Niagara Falls, NY. She later took an active role in her husband's business, Armand Cerrone, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY. When her children were younger, Jane was very active with the Mother's Club at St. Teresa's School and Bishop Duffy High School. Jane was an avid bowler, a sport she participated in with various women leagues for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Tattler's Club in Niagara Falls. Most importantly her life centered on her family and friends with whom she enjoyed spending time. Jane also enjoyed hosting holiday parties and traveling with her husband.

Mrs. Cerrone is survived by her two children, Michael A. (Michele) Cerrone of Wilson, NY and Barbara J. (Michael J.) Costello of Youngstown, NY. She will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren Andrew Cerrone, Nathan Costello, Erin Cerrone, Maria (fiancé Justin Hays) Costello, Nicholas Cerrone, Peter Costello, Matthew Costello, and her great-grandson Vincent Costello. Jane is also survived by her sister Margaret (late Stanley) Wozniak of Niagara Falls, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Lillian (late Richard) Barber.

Visitation will be Monday from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday May 31st at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY with Msgr. J. Thomas Moran officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Mt.
