Jane A. Stafford nee Acker,88 of Lewiston, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Our Lady of Peace nursing care residence, Lewiston, NY. Born in Hamilton, Ontario Canada she was the daughter of the late James G. and Jane (McMurray) Acker. She was predeceased by her husband Edward "Ned" V. Stafford.

Jane moved to Niagara Falls, NY in 1962 where she worked for Mayor E. Dent Lackey as manager for the Niagara Falls Convention Center. She was known as being quite the artist and loved acting and was involved in many amateur productions. Jane was also very active with her church in Lewiston.

Jane is survived by her sister, Ann Bauman of Montreal, Quebec and a brother Anthony Acker of Thunder Bay, Ontario as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Jane was predeceased by a sister Frances Watt.

There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 2nd at 9:30 a.m. in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
