Janie Homick, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Janette (Manente) Rizzuto.

A proud graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Janie went on to build a beautiful life with her husband, Jeffery "Jeff" Homick, whom she married on May 31, 1969. They created a warm and loving home where they raised their three beloved children in Niagara Falls.

Janie had a deep love for tending to her garden, was an excellent cook and treasured the time spent with her family. She was endlessly welcoming to everyone who entered her home, always making others feel loved and at ease. Janie was also incredibly creative and loved to build things and paint, and she found joy in creating beauty in everything she did.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Jeff, she is also survived by her children, Kristen (John) Betker, Jeffery (Rachael) Homick II, and Charles (Kimberly) Homick; and her adored grandchildren, Gabriella, Hudson, Henley, and Ryan, who lovingly knew her as "Nana;" and is also survived by her sister, Neva (John) Grace, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her warmth and kindness. She was predeceased by one sister, Antoinette (late Frank) Gara.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 4, from 3 - 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where prayer services will begin at 7:00 PM.
