Jasper T. Everett, 89, a resident of Apple Valley, CA since 2006, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2011 in Highland, CA. Born in Whistler, AL, he was the son of the late James R. and Hattie (Taylor) Everett.
Jasper served in United States Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II from January 13, 1943 until his honorable discharge on January 8, 1946. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star; a Good Conduct Medal, and a World War II Victory Medal for his service. A Niagara Falls resident since 1947, Jasper worked at the former Hooker Chemical Corporation, now Occidental Petroleum, in Niagara Falls, NY for 35 years. Mr. Everett was also a 60 year member of the First Assembly of God Church in Niagara Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Everett; two sons James (Barbara) Everett of Apple Valley, CA and Dale (Debbie) Everett of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren Robin Everett of Seattle, WA, Tyler Everett and Ashlee Pino both of Dallas, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jasper was predeceased by his first wife Virginia in 1983. He was also predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 11th from 10:00 AM until 12 NOON at the First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd. Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will immediately follow at 12 NOON.
