Jean Y. Baldwin, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, March 8 ^th , 2019 at her residence.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Kathleen B. (Carmody) Phipps.

Jean attended local schools and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from the former Trott Vocational High School.  She married Richard H. Baldwin on April 2 ^nd , 1949.  Mr. Baldwin predeceased her on May 3 ^rd , 1982.

Jean served the community as an LPN for over 30 years at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY and later at Beechwood Manor in Amherst, NY retiring in 1992.  Prior to becoming an LPN she worked at the Spirella Company and at Lindsay Photo both in Niagara Falls.  Jean loved animals, especially dogs and flower gardening.  Above all Jean centered her life around her family whom she loved spending time with.

Jean is survived by her children, Kathleen L. (nee Baldwin) (Mark S.) D'Elia and Richard K. Baldwin, 4 grandchildren, Mark A. D'Elia, Daniel K. (Molly) Baldwin, Richard L. (Rachel) Baldwin and Kristin (Chad) McCoy.  Survivors also include 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Jean was predeceased by her 4 siblings, Robert M. Phipps, Marilyn C. (late Frederick E.) Baldwin, late Margaret M. (late Charles) Cameron and the late John D. (late Candace) Phipps and his former wife the late Irene Conrad.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 12 ^th from 3-7 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13 ^th at 9:15 A.M. followed by Jean's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Family Parish, Mt.
