Jean P. Licata, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 4, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Jamestown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary (Oliver) Piazza.

Jean was raised in Jamestown NY and was a 1954 graduate of Jamestown High School. After graduation she was employed with Jamestown Mutual Insurance Co.  On April 18, 1959, she married James J. Licata at St. John's RC Church in Jamestown, NY.  It was then that she moved to Niagara Falls to begin her life as a wife and mother.  Once her children were grown Jean began working as a Salesclerk with DiCamillo's Bakery on 17th and Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls from 1987 until her retirement in 2015 at the age of 80. Jean loved sharing her life with her husband Jim who was her best friend and love of her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking and taking care of her home.   Jean especially enjoyed having the entire family over each Sunday for dinner. Jean will be remembered for her kindness and thoughtful nature, never missing a birthday or special event and always sending a card to brighten someone's day. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, Jean is survived by her children, Steve Licata, Lorraine Licata, Thomas (Lisa) Licata, and William 'Will' Licata; her grandchildren, Lauren, Robert and Kathryn Licata; her siblings, Donald (Kathleen) Piazza, Charles (Gloria) Piazza, and Rebecca (late Fred) Morris; and special family friend of the family, Kathleen "Kasia" Pancerz, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Annette (late Anthony) Crasti, and brother, Michael (late Lois) Piazza.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8 from 3 - 7 at M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.   Jean's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 9 at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at Mt.
