Jeanie S. Palmer of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at Hospice House in Lockport. NY with her loving family beside her.

Jeanie was born on June 30, 1938 in Springside, Ayrshire, Scotland, the youngest child of Robert and Margaret (Sloss) Mann. She met her future husband Matthew H. Palmer as a teenager in Scotland and soon after, she followed him to Niagara Falls, NY where they were married on May 17, 1958 at Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church.

After her husband passed away in 2003, Jeanie dedicated her life to bringing happiness to all children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She volunteered for many years as a Classroom Aide at Henry J. Kalfas Elementary School assisting Mrs. Danielle Dionne's Kindergarten class. With her red hair, unmistakable Scottish brogue, warm heart and beautiful smile, she touched everyone she met.

She is survived by her children Ernest C. (Michele) of Lewiston, Karen M. Palmer-Fiore of Niagara Falls, and Matthew J. (Diane) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Robert (late Jean) Palmer of Lewiston, NY.

She was a loving Nana to her grandchildren Christeen (Jeremy) Salimbene, Eileen (Michael) Kineke, Jaclyn (Joshua) Dimino, Nicole (Brian) Jolicoeur, Jessica, Laura, Matthew (Jessica Creager), Julianne (Sean) Casilio, Heather (Ryan Anderson) Fiore, Holly (Kyle Jones) Fiore, Cameron (Abbie Liotti), Miranda (Matthew Levulis) Fiore, Megan (Zachary Browning), Ryan and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband Matthew, she was also predeceased by her loving son Robert W. (Christina) Palmer, her parents, siblings James, Margaret, Sarah, Robert, William, Victoria and her sister-in-law Jean (Robert) Palmer.

Jeanie's family would like to thank Niagara Hospice for the incredible kindness and compassion provided to her and her family in her final days. We would also extend our heartfelt thanks to her daughter Karen and granddaughter Miranda who were her primary caregivers throughout the course of her disease.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30 from 9-11am at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where services will begin at 11am.  Interment at the convenience of the family.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
