Jeanne M. Cooper, 81, of Grand Island, NY, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2018 at Hospice Buffalo. Born in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret (Schwartz) Travers.

Jeanne was a graduate of Columbia High School in Nassau, NY. In 1955, she married her beloved husband, Jon R. Cooper, and moved to Erie County in 1959. Mr. Cooper later predeceased her in 1991. Jeanne was employed as a customer service representative at RespicAir in Niagara Falls, NY for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling to Florida and Las Vegas, as well as spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her children, Tammy Palumbo, Theresa (Mark) Merletti and Jon R. Cooper II; grandchildren, Dillon Cooper and Andreas Merletti; her brother John (Dolores) Travers, as well as several nieces. She was predeceased by four siblings, Melvin Travers, Margaret "Dee Dee" Travers, Eva Stern and Jimmy Travers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stephen's Church, 2100 Baseline Rd. Grand Island, NY. Interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.
