Jeanne Louise Peron, 81, of the Town of Niagara died Friday May 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY.
She was born in Niagara Falls, NY and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. Ms. Peron worked at Vanadium Corp from 1950 thru 1958, the New York State Power Authority from 1958 thru 1964, and Great Lakes Carbon Corp thru 1985. Ms. Peron was a member of St Leo's R.C. Church. She was a member of the choir for a number of years and was also a Eucharistic minister and lector until her illness prohibited her from participating. She was also a member of the Sweet Adelines, Rainbow City Chapter of Niagara Falls for a number of years and also enjoyed crocheting, crewel embroidering, ceramics, and gardening.
Ms. Peron was predeceased by her parents, Jeanne L. (Gerardi) and John L. Peron, and a brother Robert J. Peron. She is survived by a nephew, Robert M. Peron, and a niece, Elaine F. McGee, three grand nieces, two grand nephews, and several cousins.
Visitation will be Monday 6-8PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where services will begin Tuesday May 15th at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St Leo's R.C. Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York, 3871 Harlem Rd.
