Jeannette Notaro, 90, of Sanborn, NY, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home. Born in Wanakah, NY, she was the daughter of the late Fortunato and Margaret (Gallo) Guadagnino.
Jeannette was raised in Buffalo, NY. She married the love of her life, Leo S. Notaro, in 1951. They built their home in Sanborn, NY, in 1963, where they raised their five children.
A devout Catholic, Jeannette was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones, who always appreciated her homemade Italian dishes and delicious baked goods, which were always made with love. Jeannette also liked to knit and crochet beautiful handmade Christmas stockings, baby blankets, and many other gifts that will forever be treasured by family members and friends.
Known for her caring and thoughtful nature, Jeannette was loved and adored by all. Always willing to lend a hand to those in need, she supported many family and friends through difficult times without hesitation. She will be remembered for her compassion and constant devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jeannette was predeceased by her devoted husband, Leo, in 2020 after 71 memorable years together. She was also predeceased by three of her siblings, Mary (Frank) Pagano, Josephine Carr (Grimmer), and Anthony (Margaret) Guadagnino.
Jeannette is survived by her five devoted children: Jeanne (late Richard) Johnson, Rosemary (Donald) Bowman, Leo M. (Dana) Notaro, Sandra (Robert) Kostiw, Dr. Thomas (Jodi) Notaro; her beloved grandchildren: Kristie (Greg) London, Jillian (Kent) Jayme, David (Kathleen) Bowman, Adam (Kristina) Bowman, Marco (Katherine Davis) Notaro, Gina Notaro, Robert (Sarie) Kostiw, Joseph Kostiw, Matthew (Ashley) Kostiw, Katelyn (Nicholas Clouden) Kostiw; her cherished great-grandchildren: William (Emma Smith) Jones; Abigail (Ryan) Kinney; Brianna London; Jacob, Sammy, Bella, and Nick Jayme; Daniel and Andrew Bowman; Maci and Cole Stopa, Penny and Archie Bowman; Valentina Kostiw; her cherished great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Jones; her dear sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Edward Finnerty and their beloved family; the Notaro family; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will begin on Wednesday, January 8 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY 14131.
