Jeffrey David DeGolier, 40, passed away suddenly in Niagara Falls, NY on Wednesday August 25, 2010. He was born in Lewiston, NY the son of Danielle (Rob Hawkins) DeGolier of Niagara Falls, NY and David (Cheryl) DeGolier of Youngstown, NY.

Jeffrey attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston Porter High School. He owned and operated a tree service company in Niagara Falls, NY. Jeffrey was a fitness enthusiast particularly in the areas of bodybuilding and weightlifting as well as an avid reader about health and fitness. He also enjoyed nature, the outdoors, walking, picnicking, fishing, music and movies. Jeffrey's intelligence and sense of humor were his strong suits and his smile would light up a room.


In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is also survived by his beloved fiancé and best friend Michelle Currie, three children Jeffrey David DeGolier II, Jessica DeGolier and Maxwell Marcyan all of Niagara Falls, NY; one granddaughter Makalia DeGolier, one sister Andrea (Steve) Simler-DeGolier of Ohio; his Uncle Jack (Diane) DeGolier of Andover, NJ, his nephews Max Simler and Dominic Lively, stepsisters Rosanna (Stephen) Lively of Niagara Falls, NY, Heather Sample of Youngstown, NY, Cousins Darcie (Mark) Gore of Lafayette, NJ, Lynette (Jamie) Herschel of New Philadelphia, OH, Denise (Scott) Edmonds of Wake Forest, NC and his adopted sister, Amyjo Meloon of Lockport, NY. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dan and Lucy Wilson and paternal grandparents, Jack and Doris DeGolier.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4- 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Monday August 30th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Private interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
