Jeffrey J. Gonzalez, 64, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully with his family and friends surrounding him on May 10th, 2018 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, he is the son of Anne (Martin) Gonzalez and the late Nicanor Gonzalez; and the loving husband of Deborah (DeAngelis) Gonzalez whom he married on June 25, 1994.

Jeff attended local schools and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School. He began working at the Prestolite Company and Energy From Waste (EFW) both in Niagara Falls. Jeffrey also served as a Police Officer for the Town of Niagara and the Niagara Parks System for over 5 years. He retired from Occidental Chemical Corp. after 37 years, where he was the longtime Treasurer and Union Representative of the Hooker Employee Union.

Jeff was a former Alter Server at St. Leo's Church and an active Volunteer Fireman of Niagara No. 1 Fire Company. In his leisure time, he enjoyed landscaping, bowling, as well as taking care of his home and pool. He was also a craft beer enthusiast and world history buff.

In addition to his wife, Jeffrey is survived by his siblings, Joyanne Gonzalez and Nicholas (Martha) Gonzalez; many nieces, nephews and cousins including nephews, Ronald and Nicholas Barrett and Nicholas Gonzalez; brothers-in-law Wayne (Kumi) DeAngelis, Mark (Elizabeth) DeAngelis and Brian (Thanh) DeAngelis.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 14 ^th from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 A.M.
