Jemelie Elizabeth (George) Raybon, age 66, of Niagara Falls NY passed peacefully into the hands of God after a courageous battle with canceron Tuesday December 1, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Jan, as all who knew her, was born November 5th, 1949 and was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls NY. She worked as a financial assistant for 35 years. She was a devout Catholic who held deeply to her faith and touched each heart she encountered with love and kindness. She was a member of Holy Family of Jesus Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She loved to watch her granddaughter Hailey dance and could always be found at the studio. Visiting her other two beautiful granddaughters Brishti and Kiran of Pennsylvania was another cherished favorite pastime. Words cannot describe the beauty and comfort this woman brought to so many lives. We were enormously blessed to know her and she welcomed everyone with open arms into her family's life and for that we are eternally grateful.

Jan is the daughter of the late Rose and Ellis George of Niagara Falls, NY. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Carl W. Raybon, daughter Camille Patterson (Leander), son Joseph Raybon,granddaughters Hailey Elizabeth, Brishti Cassidy, Kiran Rose, sisters Margaret Jones (William), Debra Miller (the late Robert), Cynthia Kaczowski (Peter), Nancy James (David), two brothers Leo (Sharon) and Albert (DiAnne) George, as well as in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends who so lovingly cared for her and her family.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NAIGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday December 5th at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at10:30 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 27th Street and Independence Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery.
