Jennie L. (LaBarber) Cicero, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday September 17, 2009 surrounded by her family at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Josephine (Militello) LaBarbera. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon J. Cicero on July 14, 1989.

Jennie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was employed as a school aide by the Niagara Falls Board of Education and also worked for the Board of Elections as a voting booth attendant in Niagara Falls, NY. Jennie liked cooking, canning of fruits and vegetables and a taste of a fine red wine. But most of all, Jennie's greatest pleasure was spending time with and caring for her family.

Mrs. Cicero is survived by three children Pamela (Stefan) Jankiewicz, Mary Carol Saxe both of Niagara Falls, NY and Joel G. Cicero of Sanborn, NY; seven grandchildren Stefan G. Jankiewicz, Sasha (Brian) Chapin, Sara Jankiewicz, Maeve Jankiewicz, Jennifer (James) Domagalski, Andrea L. Cicero and Michael G. Cicero, five great grandchildren Leanna and Kayne Chapin, Kennedy Jankiewicz, Benjamin and Philip Domagalski; three sisters Phyllis (late Walter) Peters (late Dan) DeSantis of Niagara Falls, NY; Norma (late Rick) Ianni (Charles) Palisano and Marge (Emidio) D'Angelo both of Wheatfield, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters Samuel (late Nellie) LaBarber, Frances (late Charles) Palisano, Josephine (late Louie) Tavano and Joseph (Dallas of Wheatfield, NY) LaBarber.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday September 21st at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John De LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Slawomir Siok, SAC officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
