Jennie M. (Mule) Nicosia, 99 passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Bonaccorso) Mule.

Jennie attended local Niagara Falls schools and in 1939, married Alexander "Sandy" Nicosia at the former Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Nicosia predeceased her on May 29, 1994. For many years, Jennie worked in the Laundry Department at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She enjoyed watching wrestling and loved to dance. She also liked bowling, family picnics, baking and cooking. But the most important thing in Jennie's life was her devotion to her family and being a loving grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Nicosia is survived by her four children, Joseph (Patricia) Nicosia of the Town of Niagara, NY, Matthew (Georgia) Nicosia of Burt, NY; Rose (Charles) Wilson, Lynda (Donald) Reynolds both of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son John (late Lizbeth) Nicosia. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Anthony (Theresa) Moley of Wilson, NY; Salvatore Mule of Cambria, NY; one sister Angeline (late Alfred) Walker of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by four sisters and three brothers, Mary Lucatra, Marion Proietti, Battistia Mule, Matthew Moley, Lena Mule, Concetta Barcer and Joseph Mule.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday October 14th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Andrew Lauricella officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, Jennie's family asks that memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Road, Lockport, NY 14094.
