Jennie D. (Finitz) Perno, 91 of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Sunday October 23, 2011 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Tyler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Alveta Finitz.

Jennie moved to Niagara Falls, NY as a child with her family in 1923. She attended local schools and on September 14, 1946, she married Angelo N. Perno in the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Perno predeceased her on June 17, 2009. Jennie was a member of several area senior citizen groups. She enjoyed baking, needlepoint and playing bingo.

Mrs. Perno is survived by two daughters and one son, Beverly J. (David C.) Conte Millis of Orlando, FL, Robert D. (Deborah) Perno of Niagara Falls, NY, and Cynthia M. (Craig R.) Moeller of Melbourne, FL, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by seven sisters and seven brothers.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday October 27th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
