Jimmie L. Palmer, Jr. 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 6, 2026, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Jimmie was the son of the late Jimmie L. Palmer, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Harrison) Palmer.

Jimmie was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Buffalo State College. Jimmie devoted 40 years of service to DuPont in Niagara Falls, working in the Shipping and Receiving Department until his retirement in 2017. He was respected for his reliability, kindness, and steady work ethic.

A man of warm spirit and gentle nature, Jimmie loved watching sports—especially the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers—and had a lifelong appreciation for fashion. He enjoyed spending time at family functions, where he was happiest cooking hamburgers and chicken for those he loved. Jimmie’s good‑natured personality and caring heart earned him many dear friends throughout his life.

Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Chonita Palmer; his loving companion of 24 years, Jennifer Phelps, and her son, Kolbe Phelps; his siblings, Sharon Palmer, Vivian Joyce Palmer, Bruce Palmer, Janese Palmer, and Mark Palmer; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Palmer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, from 11 AM to 1 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 1 PM.
