Jo Lorraine (Persia) Palillo, 86 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday August 19, 2018 surrounded by her family while under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born September 3, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Rufran) Persia.

Jo attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950.  She began her career working at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls.  Afterwards, she attended American Airlines Training School in Chicago and went on to work as an airline stewardess throughout the 1950's.  Jo later relocated to Denver, Colorado where she worked for Superior Oil Company until returning home to Niagara Falls to co-own and operate her family's business, Rufran's, III Restaurant from 1980 until 1988.  Above all, Jo loved and cherished cooking and baking for her family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Christine (Joseph) D'Angelo, Lori (Daniel) Volpe and Mary Jo (Michael) DiFrancesco all of Niagara Falls. She was the beloved grandmother of, Elizabeth (Chris) Colvin, Jaclyn (Joshua) Miller, Aimee (Gabriel) Gonzalez, Anthony Volpe, Michael Volpe, Kathleen (Kyle) Klee and late Timothy J. Cosgrove, II, great-grandmother of, Nina, Sienna, Dominic and Sophia, sister of, Fr. William Persia, C.S.C. and Mimi Persia.  In addition to her parents and grandson, Jo was also predeceased by a sister Loretta Giancola, her loving companion Anthony Patti and is also survived by his family as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 21 ^st at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY.  EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094.  Please visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
