Joan M. Conti, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Hornell, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Ann (Morris) Connors.

Joan attended local schools in Hornell and obtained her nursing degree in 1957 from St. Joseph's College of Nursing in Elmira, NY. On June 18, 1960 she married John J. Conti and moved to Niagara Falls.

Joan was employed as a Registered Nurse for several years at the Veterans Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. After raising her children, she went back to work at the Methadone Maintenance Clinic and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, before retiring to volunteer her time in the hospital's gift shop.

Joan was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Raphael's Church. She was also a member of the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Women's Auxiliary, as well as the Ancient Order of Hibernians Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and shopping, but above all, she centered her life around her family who will miss her dearly.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, John J. Conti, and her beloved daughter, Ann (Mike) McCombs. She is survived by four children, Maria (James) Cantella, Joan (Robert) Sullivan, John (Julie) Conti and Mark (Mary) Conti; her grandchildren, Kim (John) Paap, Tom McCombs, Jimmy (Laurel) Cantella, Peter Cantella, Marianna (Lawrence) Giorgi, Joey Cantella, Laura Sullivan, Mike Sullivan, John Conti, Justina Conti, Gianna Conti, Moira Conti and Josephine Conti; four great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Emerson, Bas and Thijs; her brother, George (Barbara) Conners, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three siblings, James (Catherine) Connors, Gerard (Eileen) Connors and William Connors.

Visitation will be on Friday from 3 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Joan's Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Raphael's Church, 3804 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
