Joan Infantino, 88, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Joan was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Jessie (Riggi) Cicatello. She was a proud graduate of Niagara Falls High School.

Joan married her devoted husband, Philip Infantino, on July 16, 1955, at Our Lady of Lebanon Church. Their loving marriage lasted 66 years until his passing in 2021.

Joan had a distinguished career, serving as an executive secretary at Hooker Chemical Company and Carborundum, where she retired after many dedicated years.

An extraordinary doll maker, Joan was a longtime member of the Western New York Doll Club. Her creativity and artistry were recognized both locally and internationally, earning her several awards, including recognition at the first International Doll Competition. Joan was also a gifted cake decorator and an excellent cook who poured her and her family's traditions into her self-published cookbook, The Sicilian Legacy Cookbook. Aside from her work career and hobbies, Joan always found time on the phone, gabbing away with loved ones.

Joan is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sandra (Thomas) Carella, Robert Garcia, Frank (Virginia) Garcia, Laurie Cicatello, Angelo Cicatello, and her devoted nephew, Charles (Marianne) Infantino, who spent countless hours with her, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Zoe; her special home aide, Tiwanna; and her Hospice nurse, Jody, who provided her love and special treats during happy occasions. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Octavia Cicatello, Angelo Cicatello, John Cicatello and Frances (late Francisco "Frank) Garcia; and her nieces, Sharon (late Ron) Graci and Marcia Cicatello.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 7 from 11-12 Noon at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice at niagarahospice.org.
