Joan S. (D'Angelis) Jamarco, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Oakfield, NY she was the daughter of the late August and Mary (Cianfrini) D'Angelis.

Joan moved to the Niagara Falls area as a child with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On September 9, 1939 she married Joseph F. Jamarco at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls NY. Mr. Jamarco predeceased her on October 26, 2003. For forty years Joan worked as an assistant to the owner of the former Levy Brothers Furniture Store and prior to that she was employed by the former Arnson Furniture Store, both located in Niagara Falls, NY. Joan enjoyed playing cards, especially Poker, traveling, gardening and watching television.

Mrs. Jamarco is survived by three children Michael (Mary) Jamarco of Niagara Falls, NY; Judith Lauron of London, England and Geoffrey Giammarco of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, two sisters Ann Vespa of North Tonawanda, NY and Nancy (late Honorable John) Mariano of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother Paul (Nancy) D'Angelis of Wheatfield, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. Services and interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by M.J.
