Joan P. (Marrazzo) Meyers, 79, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on April 1, 2021 at Erie County Memorial Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.  Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Orlando J. and Margaret T. (Emerick) Marrazzo.

In 1960, Joan married William E. Meyers.  Mr. Meyers predeceased her on January 28, 2018.  Joan graduated from Niagara County Community College in 1993 with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. She later attended University at Buffalo where she graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and a Master's of Science in Nursing Administration in 1997.  She was employed for 37 years with the Niagara County Department of Social Services in various roles, working primarily as a case supervisor, as well as in Public Assistance and Child Welfare.  She retired in September of 2002.  Joan was a member of CSEA Niagara County 7560, as well as various other clubs.

Joan traveled extensively with her husband, visiting every continent except Antartica.  She will be remembered as a lifelong learner, as well as for her love of Spanish and American History and the Social Sciences.

Joan is survived by her son, William D. Meyers, her granddaughter, Amber Meyers, as well as her siblings, Robert A. (Carol) Marrazzo and Linda (John) Silvernail, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5 from 9:30 – 11:15 at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will begin at 11:15 followed by Joan's Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 237 4th St, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Cataract Church, Niagara Falls, NY.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
