The life of Joan Marie Paradise ended far too soon. After a nine month battle with ovarian cancer, Joan sadly died on May 23, 2019.  She will be forever missed.

Joan was born on December 28, 1956 in Niagara Falls to John and Elsie (Luch) Paradise. After graduating from Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1975, Joan went on to graduate from Alfred State College. Joan later held positions in Washington DC, Boston, and Cleveland before settling down in Ft. Myers, FL.

Joan devotedly raised two incredible and accomplished children, John and Juliann Gavin. Anyone who knew Joan would say that her selfless parenting was the catalyst behind her children's continued success. After living in Ft. Myers for thirty years, she returned to Lewiston in 2014, to rejoin and enjoy her family.

Joan was known for her love of theater, music, movies, a good book and had an overall zest for life. She loved the excitement of Artpark and the many festivals that Lewiston had to offer.   She will be lovingly remembered by her children John and Juliann, siblings Evelyn (Patrick) Tracy, Lorraine (Jim) Kelly, John, Joel, Ann (Mark) Mesaros, extra special nieces and nephews, best friend Cathy Ellington, first friend Cindy Marcoaldi and pup, Pluto. Joan was predeceased by parents, John and Elsie Paradise.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 28th from 5-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Joan's Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM St. Peter RC Church, in Lewiston. Everyone please assemble at church.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. While in Ft.
