Joan M. (Henning) Perri, 70, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday March 10, 2011 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Orville and Mary (Guthrie) Henning.

Joan was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School. On June 1, 1963 she married Alfred D. Perri at St. John De LaSalle Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Joan was employed as an office clerk at various local businesses in Niagara Falls including Prudential Insurance Co, the former Twin Fair Department Store, the former Grants Department Store, Schrack Oil Co. and Gambino Ford. When her son Michael was young, Joan also volunteered as a player agent with the LaSalle #6 Little League Baseball Association. Joan was an animal lover who enjoyed playing Bingo and going to garage sales. Above all, Joan's life was centered on her family.

In addition to her husband of forty seven years, Mrs. Perri is survived by one son, Michael D. (Maria) Perri, N.F.F.D. of Niagara Falls, NY; one granddaughter Luciana Perri, one brother Sheldon (Jean) Henning of Niagara Falls, NY; her niece and nephew Christina (Christopher) McClure and Steven Henning. Her survivors also include several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will begin on Monday March 14th at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John De LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. If desired memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY.

In honor of her wishes, Mrs. Perri contributed to Boston University's Brain Tissue Donation Program for research.
