John Albert Andrews, II of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday February 6, 2013. Born in Buffalo, NY he was the son of Marilyn (Buscemi) (late Gino) Battista of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and the late John Andrews.
John attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School in 1985 where he was a member of their football and baseball teams. He was employed as a long haul truck driver by Modern Disposal in Model City, NY. John was an amateur boxer and winner of numerous trophies including the Molson Boxing Tournament held in St. Catharines, Ontario. He was also an avid golfer and fan of the Buffalo Bills.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by two children Lindsay Brown Andrews of North Tonawanda, NY and David Michael Andrews of Niagara Falls, NY; his aunts and uncles Roger (Irene) Andrews, Joan (William) Malaney, Shirley (Ted) Wirth, Leonard (Virginia) Buscemi and Joseph (Karen) Buscemi and many cousins. He was predeceased by one brother David Michael Andrews; his maternal grandparents Joseph and Antoinette (Bruccoleri) Buscemi and his paternal grandparents William and Veronica Andrews.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday February 9th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
