John Michael Ayers, 28, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 1, 2022 in Buffalo, NY.  Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Michael E. and Elena (Frosolone) Ayers.

John was a 2012 graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield High School, where he played basketball and football. He graduated from Niagara County Community College with an Associate's Degree in Communications, and later attended Buffalo State College.  While at NCCC, he was selected to join the Disney College Program, something he truly loved being a part of. John was employed as a Letter Carrier with the United States Postal Service and also worked in Security at the Seneca Niagara Casino.  John was an avid golfer. He was also a new member of the LaSalle Yacht Club, he loved being on the water and making the most of a beautiful sunny day. Ray-Bans, Buffalo Bills apparel, and a gleaming unforgettable smile was John's signature look. He loved watching and following sports, especially the Bills. He also loved reading books and listening to podcasts. John's biggest success and greatest joy was looking forward to becoming a career fireman something he had been striving for. John was currently in the NYS Fire Academy, where he was nicknamed "The Senator" training to become a Niagara Falls Firefighter. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving, joyous, intelligent, beautiful person to his family, his friends, and his dog Bernie.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his siblings, Victoria Ayers and Joseph Ayers; his maternal grandmother Florence (late Victor) Frosolone, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Rogers (late John 'Jack' Ayers, Ret. Buffalo FD); his maternal aunts and uncles, John (Lauren) Frosolone, Ret. NFFD, Enrico (Dawn) Frosolone, Ret. NFFD, and Concetta 'Tina' (Larry) DeLong; his paternal aunts and uncles, Joanne (Ed) Ricotta, Mary (Tim) Wirth, and Judy (Mike) Behlmaier, as well as several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  John's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
