Obituary
John P. Bartolomei, Jr., 41 of Lewiston, NY passed away in Lewiston, NY on October 27, 2010. John was born in Niagara Falls, NY and was the son of John P. and Maria C. (Colucci) Bartolomei, Sr. of Lewiston, NY.
John attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston Porter High School. He furthered his education in communications and film studies receiving a bachelor's degree at Niagara University in Lewiston, NY. Later John studied at Buffalo State College doing his post graduate work in Media Studies. He also attended the New York Film Academy in NYC and Full Sail University in Orlando, FL to further his education in film studies.
In the late 1990's John moved to Orlando, FL. and later to LosAngeles, CA. where he worked pursuing his passion in films and filmmaking. Upon returning to this area in 2007John has worked with his family and was the vice-president for development of the Rutledge Group in Niagara Falls, NY. John who has been playing the drums since high school loved all types of music, going to concerts and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his loving parents John is survived by his sister Lisa A.Bartolomei – Kelly of Lewiston, NY; uncle of Mason Kelly of Lewiston, NY; Grandson of Caterina (late Pietro) Bartolomei of Niagara Falls, NYand the late Joseph (late Eleanor) Colucci; Nephew of Rosanne (Robert) Cascio of Grand Island, NY, Josephine (Gabriel) Porto of Wheatfield, NY, Bruno (Paulette) Bartolomei of Lewiston, NY and the late Judith Bartolomei; great nephew of Frank Trapasso of Lewiston, NY and several cousins. John had a special bond and friendship with his cousin Edward Carlo.
The family will receive friends on Friday October 29th from 2-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Saturday October 30, 2010 at St. Peter's Church 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY at 10:30 AM with Rev. Sebastian Pierro officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
