John R. Cataldo, 84 of Lewiston, NY passed away on August 25, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.  Born November 10, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Benjamin and Jenny (DePrima) Cataldo.

John was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1956.  He was employed as a plumber for 30 years with Local 22 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union until his retirement in the mid 1990's.  In his leisure time, John enjoyed golfing and bowling in local leagues.

John was predeceased by his wife Sandra M. (Arbanas) Cataldo on November 22, 1997.  He is survived by his two children Jeanne (Robert) Rozek and Joseph (Connie) Cataldo, his grandchildren Joelle Rozek and Ashley Rozek, his companion Yolanda LaDouceur as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was also predeceased by two sisters, Angela (late Gino) Barbero and Beatrice (late Robert) Evans.

There will be no prior visitation.  Private entombment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094.  Arrangements by M.J.
