John Coffman, 72 of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday July 4, 2010 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. John was born in New Kensington, PA and moved to the Niagara Falls area with his family at the age of sixteen. For thirty four years, he was employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and retired as Dietary Supervisor in 1994. Afterwards John worked for TOPS Markets, and also owned and operated along with his wife, John and Alva's Rainbow Café on 7th and Niagara Streets in Niagara Falls. John enjoyed camping and wood burning. He had a love for animals, especially his dog and two cats, but most of all, took great pleasure in spending time with his family.
Mr. Coffman is survived by his wife of twenty three years, Alva M. (Kenyon) Coffman, two children, Carol Restivo and John Coffman both of Niagara Falls, NY, eight step-children, Scott O'Harrow, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Horner, Donald Myers all of Niagara Falls, NY, Melody Rivers of Youngstown, NY, Charles Myers, Jennifer Shanley both of Niagara Falls, NY, Tina Iadicicco of Tennessee and Melvin (Cheryl) Vinton of Niagara Falls, NY, forty five grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. John also had six brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI AND SON FUNERAL CHAPEL 468 19th STREET NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
