John A. D'Amore, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Sunday September 8, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Henrietta (Giancola) D'Amore of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Albert L. D'Amore.
John attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1977 and was a member of their hockey team. He later attended SUNY at Albany and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Accounting. John was proprietor of Hill, D'Amore and Co., Ltd., a certified public accountant firm in Arizona. He was also an associate and served as a board member of Tumbleweed in Phoenix, AZ, a nonprofit organization for the less fortunate. John had the gifted ability to solve mechanical problems.
In addition to his mother, John is also survived by one son Sam Louis D'Amore of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters and two brothers Linda (Sal) Palermo, Thomas (Charisse) D'Amore both of Niagara Falls, NY; Mary (Jeffrey) Binga of Pendleton, NY and Joseph D'Amore of Phoenix, AZ; his former wife Joann D'Amore, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
