John "Johnny" F. Lasher, 48, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 23, 2021 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John G. and Kathleen M. Lasher.

Johnny graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School, and was very proud of the great memories and friendships that were forged there.  He was employed in Industrial Cleaning with National Vacuum Environmental Services in Niagara Falls, NY.  Johnny was an avid genealogist and the author of the book "The Lasher Family" published by Kinship Press, and the President of the National Lasher Family Association.  He enjoyed frisbee golf, having bond fires, and was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

Johnny is survived by his siblings, Terri (Daniel) Kline, Katrina Lasher (Terry Gandy, Jr.) and Richard 'Pogo' (Melanie) Rickard; his loving dog, Chewy; his nephew Damien Nielsen; his aunts and uncles, Terry Lasher Winslow, Margaret Wolf, Eileen Thorman, Michael (Kristy) Lasher and Thomas Lasher, as well as many cousins and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his aunts, Elizabeth (Steve) Kensinger and Rebecca Guarino.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29 from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held at 8 PM.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the American Liver Foundation or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
